NeuroSpark Joy
February Events
NeuroSpark Joy is a family centered support program for neurodivergent youth and the adults who support them. Our mission is to empower families through compassionate, trauma-informed guidance that helps families, educators, and professionals navigate special education systems, including IEPs and 504 plans, as well as broader education and support systems with greater clarity and confidence, starting at diagnosis and continuing through every stage of the journey.
We support families in navigating education and support systems such as regional center services and mental health supports, and we offer trainings and workshops that build understanding of neurodiversity, inclusive practices, and effective support strategies for caregivers, educators, and professionals. Our goal is to provide support on all levels, including practical, emotional, and community based support, so no one has to navigate these systems alone.
We offer:
Office hours
Educational workshops
Peer support circles
Social skill meet ups
Professional development opportunities
… and more
NeuroSpark Joy creates welcoming spaces for connection, shared problem solving, and ongoing learning. Families often come to us with questions about paperwork, meetings, next steps, or caregiver overwhelm and leave with clearer direction, trusted resources, and practical tools that make life easier.
We meet families where they are and walk alongside them with support that grows with their needs.
Our Values
Family Centered Support
Families are the experts in their own lives. We center family voices, priorities, and lived experience in all of our work.
Trauma Informed Care
We recognize the emotional impact of navigating complex systems and create spaces that are safe, respectful, and responsive to individual needs.
Restorative Support
We believe support should restore capacity, not deplete it. Our approach centers healing, regulation, and sustainability by reducing overwhelm and helping families rebuild confidence, energy, and trust.
Accessibility and Equity
Support should be understandable, approachable, and available. We work to reduce barriers to information, services, and community connection.
Clarity and Empowerment
We provide clear guidance, education, and practical tools that help families and educators make informed decisions with confidence.
Community and Connection
We believe in the power of peer support, shared problem solving, and collective learning to strengthen families and communities.
Collaboration
We believe meaningful support happens together. We work collaboratively with families, educators, professionals, and community organizations to create coordinated and responsive support.
Inclusion and Growth
We honor neurodiversity and promote inclusive practices that support dignity, belonging, and growth across home, school, and community settings.
Together, we grow the spark.
